The resin is "wild harvested" meaning it's collected from the Burseraceae Copal tree. No trees are hurt during the sap collection process and no land is cleared to grow or farm copal. 

White copal is the most scarce & most valued of all copal resins as it has naturally aged the longest. Copal has been used in rituals, celebrations, and offerings tracing back thousands of years to sacred sites and the temples of Mexico and Central America. To this day Aztec & Mayan ancestors believe copal to be a medicinal offering from the soul of the trees and a divine connection with the ceremony of nature.
