Large Zippered Pouches
These handmade zippered pouches feature hand-woven, naturally-dyed and fair trade textiles from weaving and dyeing cooperatives around the world. Each zippered pouch is sewn by a resettled refugee paid above a living wage in San Diego, California and is lined with 100% organic cotton.
Choose from a variety of one-of-a-kind styles designed by our artisans. Scroll all of the images until the end to see what styles we currently have in stock. When you choose a pouch to add to cart, you will be able to learn where the textiles originated. Please read more about our artisan partners and the story behind our textiles at our "About Us" page. Pouches measures approximately 12" wide by 9" long. Measurements will vary and some pouches will be slightly larger than this. Our pouches are designed to utilize smaller pieces of textiles and increase circular design. Each design is truly unique and most of the time only one or two of a style are available.
Please note: The pouch with green and blue vertical stripes on the front (from Guatemala) features the red horizontal stripe textile on the back (from Burma). The "Indigo with Small Detail" textile from Burkina Faso features the circular detail on the front and the horizontal checks on the back.
As each pouch is made by hand and is entirely one-of-a-kind, please expect small variations in size/styling from the clutch pictured. Your clutch will be made from the textile and cork fabrics pictured, but will utilize different pieces. This is the beauty of handmade, the creative expression of individuals, and supporting unique refugee artisans from around the world.
