Large Indigo Textile | Burkina Faso
Fair trade, hand-dyed and handwoven large textiles from Habibou Coulibaby, a textile artist from the Bamana people and originally from Mali. Habibou is now located in Burkina Faso and is an active member of a local dyer's cooperative.
Coulibably uses minerals, clays and plants to naturally dye his fabrics, an ancient tradition called "Bogola Fini" in the local Bambara language.
This textile is a rich, beautiful indigo with patterning and would be beautiful as a coverlet on a bed. Approximately 92" x 124". I have three of these in varying patterns, please see photos and make a note at checkout of which you prefer.
Care: Spot Clean, keep out of direct sunlight to avoid fading of natural dyes.
